Hello all. How are you all doing this week? I would love to know, feel free to email me whenever to let me know. I would also love to pray for you.

My family is coming in 48 hours!! How exciting is that!! After four months, I don’t think I will let them out of my sight over the next two weeks. I am incredibly thankful God made it possible for them to stay a week longer J

This past week, it was my turn to lead family devotion. All the manang’s take turn doing the morning family devotions. I had the opportunity to share Psalm 139. It is one of those psalms where most have a verse or two memorized. I read it in my devotion a few weeks ago. Since then I have read it almost daily. What a comfort and a joy it is. My bible has the heading of the chapter “God’s infinite knowledge of man”; my heading is my personal God. All 24 verses point to God’s tremendous love and intimate relationship with you. Whether good or bad, we are often known by our relationships with others, how blessed are we to be known by our relationship with God. I can’t get past verse one without a huge smile spreading across my face. “O Lord, you have searched me and know me!” God has an entire world filled with millions of people, and yet He cares enough and loves me to take the time to know me like no one else. Verses 13-17 speak of God’s knowledge before we were even a thought.  Verse “Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.” How wonderful to know that He has thought and worked everything out in my life. To know that God loved me even before I was a thought, overwhelms me yet brings me peace. It also humbles me. 1 John 4:19 “We love because he first loved us”. How true this is. Knowing that he loved me since before I existed in any form, makes me want to love him all the more. Verses 3 and 5 are wonderful assurances of God’s faithfulness to me. “Your search out my path an my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways…..You hem me in, behind and before and lay your hand upon me.” I shared this illustration with the family. As you all know, we have been planting grasses. In order to plant, we have to prepare the ground or the path for the plant. We chop out the weeds or thorns, if its too wet, we shovel more dirt in, and finally make a hole. We then stick the plant in the hole and someone comes after and covers the plant with dirt, making sure it is standing properly and the such. I know this isn’t the best illustration but God does that with our lives. He creates for us a path that is perfect for us. Making sure we have all we need to deal with whatever comes. And not only does he prepare our life before us, he comes behind us to further protect us. How sweet to know my life has already been walked by God and prepared for me. The psalm ends with verses 23-24 “Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!” How wonderful and sweet is it that we are loved by such a intimate and loving God. This has been such a blessing and comfort to me. I would love to know your thoughts on this passage or if it has been a comfort to you as well.

Being that my family will be here for the next two weeks, I don’t think I will update my blog till they leave. Selfishly I want to spend every moment with them.

I love you all and God bless,
Kels
