There has been so much going on since I've been here. I don't even know where to start. first off here are a few guidlines. My day will usually be monday when I can update my blog, but if we have a brown out or a brown out, i will post on another day. and for the kids protection all names will be changed or not named. also any photos that go up will be general photos, nothing too personal or up close.
Okay so for the information. the flight went really well. we didn't stop in hawaii and it ended up only being 13 and half hours and the lastest cast of american idol was on our flight. Which was kinda funny. So anyway, when we landed in Bacolod, they had most of the kids there. they were so excited and loved that their nanay and tatay were back. I totally cried. They had a sign that said welcome home to all of us and they all walked up to me like they had known me forever. then we got back to the house and even more of them were waiting with more signs. it was fabulous! That day i just tried to stay awake. pretty much a walking zombie. sorry this is so choppy everyone, but i haven't fully processed everything that has happened and the past 5 days have been the longest of my life. but on monday we went and got three new kids. to see what they came from was so heartbreaking. Where they were living was smaller than a jail cell. and it was right over a bug infested ravine with trash and poop. then we went to court for one of the kids. That was crazy too. once i have processed all of that, i will write more on that.
Then yesterday, was my first day in the class room which was great. once we all get used to each other and get in to a groove it will be great!!
So I'm doing okay. miss my family very much and january cant come soon enough. I just pray every morning that God will give me the strength to get through the day. I just think get through the day, tomorrow will worry about itself. My parents have told me that alot of people are praying for me and I just want to say thank you for all your prayers. they are very appreciated and needed.
love, kelsey
