Well here we are, a little over 24 hours till I am on my way to Bacolod City, Philippines. I have been packing for the past two weeks, made countless target runs and have said most of my goodbyes. While I might be scared and intimidated by the unknown, I am trusting in God to relieve my fears. He had given me a heart and a passion for the kids I will be surrounded by. I am excited to see how God will work in my life over the next year.
So Let me tell you a little about where I am going. I will be at Calvary Chapel Bacolod run by the Rosmarino's. They have been in the Philippines since the late 80's. They now have an orphanage for abused children, a school, and a church. They have about 160 kids at last count and cherish each and every one as their own. Some of the kids they have had in the past are now working alongside the Rosmarino's.
My next year will be filled with bucket baths, an abundance of children, God's grace, spotty electricity, rough and great days. I am so excited for all the adventure's and experiences. To see what faith in God looks like in another perspective.
I would like to ask for your prayers that I would adjust quickly to my new surroundings.
